Title: What happens to settings (amule.conf) when updating?

hello,

i wonder what happens to the amule.conf file when updating amule to a newer version.

i mean will all settings be resetted?

or are the settings for new features somehow "merged" into the existing config file?

They will be merged.

The old settings will be loaded during boot, but only those which still exist in newer versions will be set. New settings will be initialized and upon saving the preferences you have a new amule.conf file containing the old settings and new settings with their default value.
