well all i can say is this!

[root@localhost /]# amule
amule: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk2u_adv-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Well, you could tell us which operating system/linux distribution you use, where you got aMule and which version of wxgtk you have installed.

i am using mandriva 2008
usin libwxgtku2
all downloaded from urpmi updated datebase
including a mule

here is the log
[root@localhost /]# urpmi amule

Which version of libwxgtku2? 2.6.x or 2.8.x?

Well, this indicates, that this file is indeed missing...

Could you please try the packages provided by OldFrog: http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=13709.0 ?
