OS: MacOS X 10.5 Leopard
Problem: make stops during processing ./po/ja.po (Japanese translation)
Filename: po/ja.po
Line: 8
Fix:  replace PACKAGE VERSION with something else (e.g., ja)

Thank you for this report. I've fixed this. Now I only wonder why my system didn't complain whan I tested this translation. :(
