I share hundreds of (public domain) ebooks, but the strange thing is that files with certain characters are not shared! This goes for characters like æ, ø. å, ü and ö. All other files without such characters are shared just fine, even within the same folder. Since I have dozens of files like this, this is a problem for me. I really want the files to be available, since I in many cases am the only source.
I currently run Xubuntu 7.04 with aMule 2.1.3, but the problem also persists in the aMule CVS version from 27.11.07.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Search the forum?

I tried... But since you answer like that, it must mean I am unable to find what I am looking for. Sorry, but I need a hint.

Ah, there it was!

Within an hour and a half at the latest, I will upload the 20071130 CVS of aMule for Ubuntu 7.04 :D
If you know Spanish you should read this: http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=13776.0
Edit: 20071130 CVS released ;D

I fixed the problem by installing a backup image. All works well now (with aMule 2.1.3).
I read the thread, but as I don`t understand Spanish, could I have just done a sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
to fix the problem?
Will check out the new build later today! Thanks a lot! :)

No, I think this would not have fixed the problem. But don't ask me how to fix it...

Use UTF-8 encoded file names. That should always work.

Well, that broke it again... Guess this means back to 2.1.3...
