Hello dear friend,
i am using amule cvs snapshot, compiled as a demon and normal version.
both are affected by this problem
a file called òàè sometext ®baubau@ can be totally downloaded, but never finished.
if i click on "details" then i edit the name of file removing ààòè and ® (and other "strange" character if present)
then the file will be correctly finished and moved to my complete folder.
i am using macosx 10.4.11, amule compiled as wiki howto (without any problem)
i have also find the 100% cpu usage in this version (as reported in other post) but i haven't any other info for that, so i limit my post to
filename problem.
I am sorry but there isn't any log that i can give to you, because actually amule will not crash or block, simply doesn't complete the file.
best regards

pardon,
you, for sure it download it from the official place.
I'm in the same thing.
. /configure never lies.
more please ; - )

this is how i configure it.
all information was read on this page
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_compile_on_Mac
i have just add amule-daemon because normal prog use all my poor cpu
./configure --disable-systray --disable-gtk --enable-embedded_crypto \
--with-wx-config=../wxMac-2.8.6/build/wx-config \
--enable-cas --enable-webserver --enable-amulecmd \
--enable-debug --disable-optimize --enable-amule-daemon

Sorry, unfortunately this is a bug we still haven't fixed, currently there's nothing you can except for renaming each download, I'm sorry.

i am not a very expert, i am sorry...
but downloading 100 file and having to rename all, is a bit boring :D
do you think that is possible to make a "dirt fix" maybe as a config option that auto-rename file before start the download?
ie -> ò -- o'
and so on (other char like ® could be removed without substitution imho)
best regards
