Title: Feature: release!
Post by: r1348 on February 13, 2008, 03:13:41 PM
My feature request is pretty simple: release!

I know it might sound fairly exotic to most of amule devs and users, but I swear it's a very common practice in other popular open source projects...
And well, when a project doesn't see _any_ kind of release for 20 months, it's righteous to define it stagnant.

Are you aware of our developmental snapshots? If not take a look at amule.hirnriss.net and notice how your last sentence loses a lot of trueness. ;)

Seriously: Do you think we are happy about not having released for such a long time? The decision to put Protocol Obfuscation in our next release combined with personal time constraints of the developers lead to a very long delay of this release.
You will however notice a lot of fixes when you take a look at the bug tracker and recent developmental events, which might be the hint of an upcoming release, va bene?

Ask the packagers.
