I think the two issues with the GUI in osx:
The flickering when it changes the icon from connected to connecting to disconnect in the top button bar.
and the slightly too big window cus when the window first gets displayed the button bar is collapsed, which then expands and shifts the whole lower frame downwards.
might get fixed by putting a correctly sized frame up in that top bar. that way the whole bar doesn't get resized each time the icons need to load or get changed. Or at least place something that makes that bar stable.
Maybe theres even something you can specify to make that bar's size initialize properly, no matter its contents.
I dunno. but its giving me brain seizures now with the latest cvs, since it flickers more.

Yeah, I noticed it had become worse in the latest SVN too.
-
yeah it does it like 20-30 times now... for the first 10 seconds after it starts connecting.

Tiger? Leopard? PPC or Intel? Did you compile the aMule by yourself or take a prebuild version from this forum?
-
i get this flickering too, with self compiled svn CVS-20080226 and also with CVS-20080218 on a intel imac with 10.5.2

I've asked because it seems is not possible to compile amule on tiger pcc anymore. :-\

Well the flickering happened with the cvs versions, basically.... all of them for the last few months. I started out on a ppc with tiger. and have an intel with leopard now. I havent compiled it on a ppc for about a month tho... so i cant help you there.

Is it me or does the march 5th cvs flicker less on connect again?

Xaignar committed a patch to reduce flickering, seems like it does work.
