Dear All,
Just registered on the forum to share this problem with you.
I installed the aMule SVN version 16.2.2008 I downloaded from one of the forum threads.
OS: Kubuntu Linux 7.04.
Application behaves quite well and I configured router with Port FWDing :
TCP 38181
UDP 33732
Ext UDP 38184
Connection status is green and I get high ID.
IPFiltering is active and working (in my opinion) quite well.
Since the first installation, I unfortunately noticed some problems.
When the problem takes place, if I look at the "Downloads" list, no sources are any more available and my client is "disconnected".
No way to get it connected again by disconnecting/connecting again.
In addition, when I try to launch an additional application (i.e. thunderbird), this hangs and I cannot use the system anymmore as it is frozen
In fact I need to reboot by pressing CTRL+HALT+CANC for enough time to shutdown.
I want to underline that the screen is not completely hanged: I can move mouse and click sometimes but for example, keybord is completely dead.
Also application panels are frozen.
I then disabled ed2k at all and it appears to be a bit better. Sometimes it take up to one day to hang.
Sometimes, it takes just 20 minutes.
I know it is strange but the hang is faster if I turn system on in the morning.
Could it be a problem with wxWidgets ?
Is there any debugging configuration which I can implement to post as many additional details as possible to understand my problem ?
I checked on the forum and on the web in general for a similar issue.
Found some correspondences but quite generic and I cannot tell if the problem is exactly the same.
Hoping you can help me to go on with troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance,
Giorgio

I will package a new version of SVN aMule for Ubuntu 7.04.
I will try to do this weekend, preferably today or tomorrow. Please, see if the problem persists with the new version

Hello,
Installed the latest SVN package you kindly provided and kept it under testing the whole week.
Performances are much better and I just faced a single hang (whereas it was always happening about 10 minutes after aMule was starting).
Thanks a lot.
