It's a very good idea, but can you make a repository for Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy too?

I cannot upgrade to the latest version of Kubuntu for now, and I want  to get this big release for my system, please.

Thanks !

Hi Festor.
It seems that amulegui does not start in Ubuntu Hardy.
It starts the login window (ip, port, user and password) because i have the core in one server and i does not start...

If i start it in one console:
# amulegui
Connecting...
Going to event loop...

and nothing happens...

PD: I have opened one bug in launchpad with no results for now:

This build sometimes stop responding and gets 100% CPU. Is there a way to avoid this?

That is not a problem of deb package

Festor, there has been some heated discussion (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=15317.0) about aMule and Ubuntu. What do you think about my suggestion to link the external packages (wx and crypto) statically to avoid problems with broken Ubuntu libs ?

dear Festor,

there's an update I've just done from your repo. What's about it?

I'm trying to upload the 2.2.1 version to repository of Ubuntu 8.04 to replace the current svn. This update use patches and potential instructions from the 2.2.1 attempt to upload.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amule/+bug/244670

There are no major or drastic change. Except that if they accepted my package I strongly recommend to remove my repository of your source.list

Only for Hardy:

Uninstall all amule - 2.2.1hardy-0ubuntu1~ppa1 packages and install   2.2.1-1ubuntu0.1~ppa1 from same repository. For more info see:

Is It right in 64 bits?? I installed kubuntu 64 bits 8.04.1 and amule crased... When i installed 32 bits, it was correct...
I installed 2.20 and it crash too, but your time is bigger.

Thanks.

64 bit has some problems with aMule, if you can use 32 bit it will be better

I can use 32 bits, but i prefer 64 bits... My computer is 64...

Thanks

 Depende: libcrypto++7  but it is not installable
  Depende: libstdc++6 (>=4.3) pero se va a instalar 4.1.2-0ubuntu4
 Depende: libupnp3  but it is not installable
  Depende: libwxbase2.8-0 (>=2.8.7.1) pero se va a instalar 2.8.1.1-0ubuntu4
  Depende: libwxgtk2.8-0 (>=2.8.7.1) pero se va a instalar 2.8.1.1-0ubuntu4
  Depende: amule-common (=2.2.1+SVN20080728-1) pero se va a instalar 2.1.3-1ubuntu2
 Depende: amule-i18n-en-gb pero no va a ser instalado o

Thanks.

If Festor has no for 7.04, you should try

deb http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/ stable amule

which depends on maybe older libs, but without crypto you won't get lucky with that, too.

Thankyou very much anyway. May be this is the moment to upgrade from Faisty Fawn.
