Hello, I set amule 2.2.1 to automatically update the IPfilter list, but IMHO it doesn't make much sense to download and update it at every program start because 1) one might start it several times a day, and downloading again and again the same list 2) one might leave it running for long times (I know people that have it running since months) and so the list will become outdated.
So it would be nice to have a feature that allows amule to download the list every X (user configurable) days.
Thanks!

Makes sense.

i requested something similar, once a week is enough.

Use http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ automatically update the IPfilter list.
er... aMule, not PG. thats system wide blockage, were on about aMule this project here ^

I think really makes sense, actually, if is me, i would update it only once per week, or sth similar

It would be nice.

Time to refresh the thread, my vote here ;)

I made an entry in the tracker for it.

Um - is there still any IPfilter URL available at all that can be used for direct update ? I just couldn't find any. :(

Like this?

Yeah. And it should be from a trustworthy source and be updated on a regular schedule. Like a virus scan sig file. It doesn't do to have just a list from somewhere.

These two are from two well known emule developers and are updated regularly. Emulepawcio in special have been doing it for years. you can see a very good thread about it here:

Hope it helps you deciding.
