Try updating WxWidgets with the original one, not Ubuntu version:

Looks like the same bug as mine (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=15796.0).

and did u get to fix it that way? I'm using fedora 9 and have upgraded has suggested but just now amule crashed with the exact same report..
-
Nope, I did not fix it :(
I am still wrecked by 2-3 bugs which prevent me from using a stable aMule...
-
Hi,
have you tried the official wxwidgets instead of your distro ones?

Try compiling Cryptopp yourself, and check if it works (running crypttest).
-
Thanks for your quick response - and your work on this excellent programme.
I will attempt to compile cryptopp as per your advice, as described in http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=15452.0 (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=15452.0).
-
compiled crypto++ 5.5.2 myself, then compiled amuled again, same result
cryptest.exe does not work on my system

Thanks for the wiki link.. I did actually manage to get cryptest working now:
All tests passed!
Test ended at Thu Dec 25 12:48:40 2008
Seed used was: 1230205713
recompiling with flags as per instructions:
CXXFLAGS = -DNDEBUG -g -O1 -DCRYPTOPP_DISABLE_ASM
testing..

nope! crashes are actually more frequent now..
I also have a lot of sources as in http://www.amule.org/amule/index.php?topic=16284.0 (http://www.amule.org/amule/index.php?topic=16284.0)
I am using the 2.8.9 binaries from the wxwidgets repository; should I try and compile wxwidgets myself?
-
Having tried all self-compiled libraries and various SVNs etc as well as the distro-internal packages, always with the same result, I have now resolved the issue by drastically reducing the number of active downloads (from 700 to 300). This must be some sort of issue related to the number of connections, which sometimes went up to 15K in spite of contrary connection limits in the config.
