Title: "Connection lost" issue even without firewall..

hi guys, I recently installed fedora 9 and of course amule came to mind..
After installing amule with yum and testing it I get a message everytime I try to connecto to a server saying "connection lost"..
I had everything configured right so I decided to kill the firewall see if that was the source of the issue but no luck.. Last thing I did was to setup DMZ on the router asn gstill having to same issues.. taht lead me to belive it could be aproblem with the software rather than with the network configs.. but then again I'm still pretty noobish on linux world.. hehehe..
Any advices or tests?

 ::) ah crap..  I really feel stupid now.. well atelast it took me to a nice ride on fedora's networking eheheh
