Title: aMuleGUI fixes
Post by: gav616 on November 25, 2008, 03:18:33 PM
sorry this is really obvious, but I just wanted to know when these fixes were coming up:

'completed sources' column in 'shared files' tab
upload/download/connections lines in 'statistics' tab
progress bars in 'transfers' tab
correct displays of obfuscation, from icons and status in the 'transfers' tab and the 'client info' window
being able to update/reload the Ipfilter from the 'preferences ' window
'messages' tab

i know that amulegui is a low priority atm but tbh is only half of those were fixed it would be a keeper for me  ;D (its very stable)

completed sources' column in 'shared files' tab
Is that important? I could probably find 50 more important amulegui issues.  ;)

I want to address that eventually. The trick is not to waste much memory for it in amuled.

progress bars in 'transfers' tab
are there

Well, there's no client info at all at the moment, and I can't say how much data to transfer that would require.

being able to update/reload the Ipfilter from the 'preferences ' window
That should be done.

'messages' tab
I'd rather remove it completely.  8)

sorry I'm a bit of a noob, does navigating through the remote amulegui cost bandwidth overhead? if so, can you explain or direct me to a link so i can read all about it.

Well, everything you see there has to be packed in EC packets and transmitted. If you doubleclick on a download and it expands to show its 200 sources, then there's a lot of information to be transmitted there.
Not all information is transmitted all the time, so changing the view in the remotegui may mean transfer of some extra data.

I use a amuled/amuleGUI only build.
And I miss the sources Information of the downloads.
And the Server windows with all the messages  and errors, I cannot see all this infos with the amuleGUI.

There is no client list to appear. All it does is paint the root of the tree that appears in the monolith.

More importat fix in amulegui: amulegui shows directories in computer where amulegui is runing, not directories in computer where amuled is running. see bug 601: http://www.amule.org/abugs/view.php?id=601
