Title: Crash on loading emule 2.2.2 in Mac OSX
Post by: gimp on December 29, 2008, 08:45:00 PM
I just downloaded and installed 2.2.2 on both my iMac and my MacBook.
It is working excellent on the MacBook, but on the iMac, it crashes upon loading for the first time.
The icon appears in the dock, but it soon quits on its own before the program fully loads.

Again, my MacBook has the same OS, and same apps... but it installed perfectly on that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try to launch it from the Terminal:
open Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal
then type  (at example):
/Applications/aMule.app/Contents/MacOS/amule

and post here the output

Launching amule 2.2.2 on a iMac PPC with Mac OS X 10.5.6 from terminal I got this:
---
Initialising aMule
Checking if there is an instance already running...
There is an instance of aMule already running
Raising current running instance.
---

But I'm pretty sure that there is no other amule running: nothing shown on Activity Monitor, neither in Terminal running:
ps ax

Delete 'muleLock' in your config dir.

Exact.
In OSX:
~/Library/Application Support/aMule/muleLock

After deleting that file, Amule works again!

Thanks!
