I have a budget of £1,400/$2k/1,500 euro.
I want either:
- a powerhouse
- a super portable with an SSD HD
No, don't suggest Alienware.
I've considered a Voodoo Envy 133 because they're on sale at the hp store, but 1.8 GHz is pretty pathetic and I've heard the SSD is slow (?!?!??).
I've also considered an eee PC, but the screen on the 1000 is too small. Sad face.
I am shamelessly using this forum as my personal advice column. Talk to me.

You all suck. I bought and paid for my machine already, and in fact am using it to post this message.

So it wasn't a big problem for you to solve this issue by yourself. So no need of asking others.

I didn't see this thread :P
...but...which note/net-book did you buy?

Are you suicidal or something?

the developers don't own a Mac and therefore can't produce binaries.
Actually my wife just bought one
A typical woman computer - a Mac. ;D
You know, men need a challenge. Now that there are no more mammoths to slay they need computers where they can install drivers, update security patches, show the thing who's the boss. Woman just want to flip it open and type in their mails and cooking recipes.

Real man don't need cooking recipes. (I cook and eat my own food, therefore it better be tasty.)

Just because you can't dual-boot linux on a mac, doesn't mean the rest of us are as "informationally challenged".
It's OK, I won't tell everyone your masculinity is in question if you don't.

Does that mean men get one iMac for all of them, but women get one each?
