Some of you may have noticed we've been updating the website over the last days, and doing some needed maintenance.
As a result, some things work better, others work the same, and other may or may not work.
If you find anything that doesn't work as it should, please tell us in this thread so we can fix it ASAP.
Thanks for your patience!

The new rabbit is soo cute. :D Can we adopt him?
Seriously: Thanks a lot for doing all the work. I haven't been able to break anything yet, and so far I've had many "works better" moments.
-
I take it you haven't 404'd yet...
-
Or 403'd, for that matter.
-
Indeed I haven't. And I have done about everything I usually do on aMule.org (i.e. had a look at the bug tracker and closed a random topic, edited the wiki main page, wrote some comments in the forum) and I clicked on everything I could find on the home page.
I just realized that the download links have been updated and cleaned up, too. :)
-
Oh, I am actually telling you to try to 404 (any non-existing url) or 403 (i.e. /images/)
-
I hereby award the creator of these pages the grand "best error pages evar" prize. They're priceless.
-
Cute! :-*
Nitpicking: downloads are reported as size 0.
-
Turns out something broke after all in the wiki:
In the past, it was sufficient to insert the link of an image to have the link replaced by the image. Now it will show the link instead.
I tried the [[Image:file.png|link=http://www.amule.org/location/]] syntax I found in the wikimedia help, but this didn't work either.
Does anyone know how to fix this short of uploading all these images anew?
-
I'll take a look at that.
-
I encounter one error: When I come back here, and click "New posts since last visit" I don't get any result, even if there are!
-
it'd be nice to have a redirect "amule.org" -> "www.amule.org"

+1 !
-
Nope. That one is like that for a reason.
-
Another problem. The old wiki link format doesn't work anymore. This breaks some links to the wiki in the forum. Could you please create a redirect?

After logout and new login problem is solved :)

No, I'd rather sed the forum database instead. I'll do it in the weekend.

And no...doesn't work everytime...any idea?

Ask SMF? I for sure don't have anything to do with what SMF does.
-
Ok....it's very strange :D
When i wrote this half an hour ago it didn't work, now it did :P

Please, read: http://download2.berlios.de/error/HTTP_TOO_MANY_CLIENTS.html.var
That is not a bug of this web.
-
Now that we have pretty preconfigured reasons for deletion and banning in the Wiki - could you add "Spam" and "Spammer" ?
-
I still have the problem with "read new messages since your last visit" link, not working!
-
Ask SMF? I for sure don't have anything to do with what SMF does.
-
I read it! ;)
But it's strange because it happened after your change of main-page!
-
It wasn't just the main page. SMF, MediaWiki, the download pages, and in general everything in the server (apache, php, mysql, everything)was updated and fine-tuned. There are still some quirks we have to fix, but as for why your problem occurs, to find it I would ahve to debug what SMF does when sending that sql query to the database, and seeing why it returns empty. Right now I'm afraid I have no time to do so.
Later, maybe.
-
Yeah, no problem, Kry! :)
It was just to let you know ;)
-
Congratulations to the new look of the site. It's very beautiful ! I really like it.
Very nice job ;)
Thanks a lot . Bye !
-
New look? Where is it?
-
This project is dead? ???
-
Why?
-
is a year that there are no updates .....
-
There are SVN tarballs updated every day. If you want always be up2date just download them and compile aMule with them!

When you see an answer to the long-forgotten topic, it just ought to be spam. Can't spammers answer something more recent? Of course I understand that such a job is not for the brightest and best, but still, just a little thinking!
