Hi, I'm a new linux user and I chose mdk 10 distro. I installed amule correctly on my pc but the download rate is very poor. Lots of sources but no download. I downloaded 100 mb from 5 files in 3 days. This is very poor. There are no firewalls, my line is dsl 640/256.
How can improve my dl rate?

tell me smth about your settings ( connection & tweaks)

I got no lowid problems because the firewall on the router has been set to forward amule ports. Anyway my rate of UL/DL is 128/1. In other words I cannot download anything. When amule is open I got some problems in navigation too. Mozilla does not browse anymore in a right way. Lots of times I get error pages under mozilla that I can see when aMule is down. Even the upload behaves in a strange way, it isn't constant.
Anyway I prepared some screenshots of my amule config. Can ya see something wrong?
The shots are here: http://aot.altervista.org/screenshots.tar.gz

Lower the upload rate, you probably have it too close to the limit and its strangling the connection.

I fear that's not the problem, the thins are the same now. If you can take a look to the screenshots... maybe there's something wrong in the configuration.

if your useing rc2, make sure you have the fat32/upload patch (you'll have to recompile or download patched binnaries). That'll improve your downloads and fix your aMule from being banned on some eMule clients (due to an aMule bug).
Hope that helped ;-)
