Title: Bug: doesn't startup - Event/OutOfSpace triggered
Post by: Peter-Alexander on December 22, 2009, 11:25:37 PM
aMules does not start up when less disk space is available as
specified in "min disk space" and Event/OutOfSpace is set.

I tried this on the SVN and aMule 2.2.6 (ubuntu repo) and aMule
will show up for <1sec and close.

Why would you want to start it without enough disc space?

Why would someone think his disk is full, when a started app just pops up and disappears. Maybe some info-popup would be a good idea. Or a possibillity to cancel downloads.

Ok, ok...
This was a perfectly valid crash bug. It even crashed GDB.  ;D
Fixed in 9909, thanks to Peter-Alexander for reporting!

I'm using amule event on DiskFull for moving files to another partition and I checked:
1) amule does crash without "min disk space" set (unactivated) too
2) script set for that event is not executed, "file completed" event works well
Please, could you told me if this bugs were corrected for your fix?
Thanks a lot

Just in case, you're referring to the development version, aren't you?

Version I'm using is 2.2.2, but I would like to know if behavior I have commented it's fixed in some version or not (for upgrading or not)
(nice to see you again GonoszTopi, you pointed me in the right direction last time I'm using core events, thanks!)

Nice to see returning users...

The bug was fixed after 2.2.6 released, so it's only available in development versions.

I never left amuled + amulegui! I'm running aMuled in my server several years ago (without stopping it! :P) from time to time I change some things. Now I split my RAID in two disks, 'amuled' and 'backup', and needing a way of moving files between.
Thanks a lot for your response, I'm think waiting new release in the meantime I'll setup my cross-compiler for build windows binaries (wuischke! gentoo added cross-compilers too! :)) I hope cross-compiling from linux be as easy as mingw from windows was.
-Nice my third star is coming-
