Title: aMule running but I can't find it!!!!
Post by: PepeLapiu on December 28, 2009, 11:08:42 AM
Okay, I'm using Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) Netbook Remix (very new at Linux).
So I configured aMule to start minimized and I think I did check something to the effect of enabling system tray ..... or sothing to that effect!?
Also, I configured it so that aMule would start at start-up of OS.

But now I can't find aMule. The terminal tells me it's already running but I can't find it.

Where is my aMule?
Who stole my aMule?

Thanx and cheers,
PepeLapiu :)

If you start "amule" from a terminal does it say that it's already running?
If you enabled the "system tray icon" you should see a mule in the tray bar - if you have a tray bar enabled in your Ubuntu panel!

As last resort: you could kill the running "amule" process and start it manually and perhaps change the settings to something that works better for you.

Interesting. What X display does it take then? Or does it only start when a user logs on?
