Title: amule 2.2.5 not connecting with kad

hello guys

i'm using amule 2.2.5 version with tiger on an intel mac

tried to open it today after a month long period without using it and found that it can't connect to kad anymore. first of all it doesn't start connectin automat. at launch as before but I always need to push twice the "connect" button. after this the status i read below on the right side keeps saying "connecting.." but nothing happen...

tried to download new nodes file from this address http://download.tuxfamily.org/technosalad/utils/nodes.dat but nothing changed

Don't tell me, you didn't change your configuration... :D

Did you try different ports? Also make sure they are open in the firewall and that the router is forwarding them (both TCP and UDP).

thanks for reply

first my firewall is disabled

now I also tried to cancel and reinstall amule and despite having lost all my parts file it seems nothing changed. i don't think my modem changed its configuration itself..

It might be your ISP blocking the default aMule ports. Try changing them to something like TCP: 46726 and UDP: 45627.

EDIT: Do you have problems connecting to the ED2K network too? Please try the port test (http://www.amule.org/testport.php).

tried to change the ports as you told but nothing changed

did the port test and wasn't working

then I switched on ed2k (by X on the box under preferences>connections and after having also rechanged the port back to 4662 the port test resulted good

now i'm successfully connected with ed2k but still not with kad

any other to recomend?

the only server it gets connected with is free.usenet.nl 2 and i can't find nothing on it..

Try (one of) the servers from here: http://edk.peerates.net/servers.php?lang=0

I take it you pressed the "play" button in the "kad" tab of aMule?
