I've had aMule running continuously for a few days now. I'm wondering how long it takes for the availability of a new file to propagate across the various sharing networks. I tried to find a file I'm sharing on one computer from a different computer on a different IP, but that file wasn't found doing either a local or a global search.
My host system is definitely functioning correctly. Other files which I downloaded from elsewhere are visibly, actively being accessed by other users. Only the file I originated myself is "unfindable". I've set up all my port forwarding correcting so that I have HighID on ED2K, and I'm connected to Kad as well.
The file I'm trying to share is in QuickTime .mov format, not a more popular format like .avi or .mpeg. Could that be part of the problem?

In my experience, the files that i create myself, take at least one day before they are propagated.
I never checked what the maximum was, though.

File format is nor related to sharing.
How many files are you sharing? The more you share, the longer it takes to publish them.

Only 17 files at the moment, not much.
