Hi,
i am running the linux-version and the windows-version of amule, changing them from time to time. Both versions have the function to sort the download-display automatically.
And both version do this when activated...
But windows shows a screen without any glitches, all looks fine, the update of the screen is done without any bad side-effects...
Linux shows a flickering screen every time it is updated. The white background changes to black for a short time, looks bad and will cause headaches when beeing watched for a long time...
Is it possible to lead the linux-version to act the same as the windows-version, doing screen-updates without looking as a application from the 80s?
Thanks a lot for this fine software, happy programming ...
Greetings

Which version of aMule?
What is your Linux distro?
Did you compile it yourself or did it come with the distro?
What version of wxWidgets?

I use the latest version on both OSes, the Linux-Version is the one that came wit Ubuntu 10.04, the windows-version was downloaded here ...

the Linux-Version is the one that came wit Ubuntu 10.04
Is it Italian and does it say "Adunanza" anywhere?
-
No, it is german, i have never read "adunanza" anywhere. The version is the same as the windows-version...
It runs on a notebook with a bad grafic card, an sis-type, using shared memory. Linux can use this chip, but can not use the 3D-functions of that chip...

aMule 2.2.6 bundled with Ubuntu 10.04 is probably one of the most often used versions. If there were general graphic problems with it it would have come up before.
I'm thinking there is a problem with GTK/X11/graphic driver here. Don't other apps have similar problems?
