Title: Can't download higher than 2.04GB ?
Post by: Enlightenment on April 20, 2004, 11:10:53 PM
Hey,

I'm having trouble downloading a file which is 3GB+ big. All chunks above the 2.04GB will get corrupted. I'm using an up-to-date ipfilter.dat and i'm seriously thinking this is a bug of aMule.

Anyone who can confirm this?

I'll make a BIG BIG BIG RED NEON light saying: TELL US YOUR AMULE VERSION ON BUG REPORT

1.2.6, which was also stated in the title of my other topic of yesterday. ;)

And i didn't say it was a bug, it's a problem. Problems don't necessarily are bugs. Maybe there are fake clients corrupting certain chunks. But due to the fact that everything went ok, just until 2.04GB, would make me believe this is some sort of limit. Can you concur?

I'm using FreeBSD, installed aMule using ports. Maybe 2.00 will be migrated into the ports when the final comes out.

Ok, but are you really thinking I will search the posts of a user to know which version he uses??

And you could also try the 'search' function of the board to search about the 2Gb bug.

Is a bug. it's on 1.2.6. 2.0.0 is fixed since rc1.

sorry if I look rude, but just woke up ;)

But i'm afraid of doing smt not from the ports. :(

XFree86 4.4.0 was a hell to do without the ports and gave me lots of problems, sooooooooooo... that 3.xGB file can wait. :)

Unless the final will take more than a month or so, can you give a rough estimate?

I suggest not posting on a public board that you are downloading copyrighted stuff.

(I suggest not downloading copyrighted stuff too)
