Title: all transfers are 'waiting' status

i am a complete newbie. i recently installed the program, got as far as as setting some connections, doing some searches and hitting the commit button

on the transfer page, i see the downloads selected, but they do not download, the status bar says 'waiting'

while  the progress bars are blue, nothing is downloading, what do i need to (re)set please

If the progress bars are blue, you have found sources. So there's nothing seriously wrong.
Now all you have to do is wait.  :)

You can doubleclick a line and get a view of users that have data for the file. You can see if they have something that they can give you and see in what position you are on their queue. When you reach the top of the queue, you will get data from this client ...
