Title: High speed seeding with aMule
Post by: biterror on July 02, 2012, 05:43:02 PM
Hi!

I've a server with high bandwith which I want to profit for just (or very mostly) seeding files via ed2k.

The version installed by the administrator is aMule 2.2.6.

This is the configuration I've through the web client:
Code: [Select]
Line capacity (for statistics only)
Max download rate 1300 Max upload rate 1500

Bandwidth limits
Max download rate 1300 Max upload rate 1500 Slot allocation 103

Connection settings
Max total connections (total) 1500 Max sources per file 1300

Network settings
TCP port 4662 UDP port 4672 Disable UDP connections NO

File settings
Minimum free space (Mb) 1   Check free space YES
Added download files have auto priority   NO
New shared files have auto priority   NO
I.C.H. active   YES
AICH trusts every hash (not recommended)   NO
Alloc full chunks of .part files   NO
Alloc full disk space for .part files   NO
Add files to download queue in pause mode   NO
Extract metadata tags   NO
If necesary I could modify the amule.conf file.

I'm testing for some days and the results are not good with this configuration, both peer (me) and this seed we are in the same server (Razorback 2.0) and with High ID.

Once it connects with a peer it transfers with high speed, but mostly it does not connect with any so it doesn't works. :(

Which is the best configuration I can do for that purpose? Could you help me, please?

Do you have enough requests for your files?

Have you activated Kad? ED2K is pretty dead nowadays.
And aMule 2.2 is pretty outdated.

Yes I have. The files I'm testing with are enough popular and I should have many requests. In fact, some times a peer is shown in the uploading queue but it dissapears in seconds.

Yes it is. I think that the administrator has installed the last version of the respositories (I don't know at the moment which UNIX OS is running).

Let's simplify, the problem is that my aMule can't connect with peers for uploading.

but your screen capture shows PEERATES.NET

It would be good to know the real number of total and accepted requests.
