Title: "readd" canceled files
Post by: ampau on March 22, 2015, 09:49:01 AM
I accidentaly canceled some downloads.
now i want to add them again to the download list without having to search for them.

as I understood,  to add them to amule via command line I would have to establish a ed2k link.
this requires file name, hash and file size.
I have file names and hashes but not file size.

does anyone have a hint for me how I could add those canceled downloads to amule again via command line, eg. by creating somehow an ed2klink?

As you have already figured out, it's not possible without the size. As canceled.met stores only hashes, you cannot generate an eD2k link for the canceled file.

do I understand that correctly that the file size of old files is stored nowhere in any of the xx.met files?
in that case i suggest the improvement to output it at least in the logfile..

File size of downloads and shared files are stored in *.met files. However, file size of canceled downloads is not kept, not stored anywhere.

in that case i suggest the improvement to output it at least in the logfile..
The logfile is overwritten on each aMule restart, so you wouldn't have the information for too long time...
