Post by: dave670 on November 29, 2015, 01:17:21 AM
Hi to all :)
I have amule 2.3.1 installed as amuled daemon (with amuleGUI as interface for windows) on my linux-based NAS... but almost every day at 00.00 hours the hard disk starts to read or write something even if there is nothing to download or just downloaded and this takes about one or two hours and it block everything so I can not even open folders or copy files (it takes about 10 seconds to open a folder) I tried amuled to close and restart but it continues the same... then I tried with the option to preallocates files before downloading but does not work... please help me... sorry for my english... thanks

How sure are you that it is amule that is responsible for this and what tools have you used to determine that?

That it starts at midnight suggests it might be cron or (systemd) timer related.

If you haven't already check to see what these show:

'crontab -l'
'systemctl list-timers'

thanks, I can try it... but maybe I have already solved with the option "CheckDiskspace=1" set to 0 in the configuration file of amule and tonight everything was ok...
