Amule-2.0.0rc3 works fine for 2-3 hours and then it crashes :
Hashing thread timed out with no aditions - removing thread

I also use Debian Unstable and had those problems a while ago.
are you using your own compiled version or you got it by apt-get?
just in case, try running it as root. this isn't secure, but worked for me.

Running as root or as non-root should make no difference. If it runs better as root, it's most probably a) pure casuality b) bad system configuration? ;-)

actually, it made when rc2 was crashing on fat32 partitions ;-)

Hi,
I had the same pb with the RC3... to solve it I apt-build amule.
It is better, it ran exactly 24h before crash without any bactrace, just froze.
My config : Athlon1300/512Mo/kernel 2.6.4 ( kernel-image-K7 ) debian testing with some unstable package up to date.
