The aMule 2.0.0 rc4 release has been delayed due to the fact we achieved wxWidgets 2.5 compatibility, so we want to fix some minor aMule+wx2.5 bugs before release what seems to be a 99% version of the 2.0.0 final!
yay! Only MacOS to go :D

are there changes from rc3 that could be important for an ebuild? (configure options, dependencies, new utilities, etc.)
-
nope .. or better - not yet ;)
-
I can't seem to find a wxWidgets 2.5 change log, and I was wondering, what's new in 2.5 that wasn't in 2.4, and how it affects emule?
I'm curious as I'm a Computer Science Student, and I'm quite interested in libraries, and since you guys use wxWidgets, I've been thinking about using it myself...
Also I'm quite interested in contributing as soon as I get some time...

I hope RC4 will be much more stable than rc3. I'm not sure rc3 has run for more than 24 hours for me without a crash. I got to the point where I stopped looking to see if my crashes were already reported - they invariably were. IMHO it's still in the beta stage, not the RC stage.
If you guys could fix CVS access us bleeding edge testers could be more helpful to you!
-
Well, curent dev cvs has run for 5 days here... seems stable on my side ;) but you're right, we should fix cvs access asap.
-
Say something when CVS will be fixed. I'm very interested in it.
-
d0lby: GTK2 support, that's the most important one I guess ;-)
-
8o Oh wickedness! This is very good news!
Can you point to where I can find more information about the changes? I could'nt find much specifics on the wxWidgets page...
-
yo-pi-do! GTK2 support will be awesome! finally aMule will look native on the desktop! i just hope it will be more stable, because I'm too having problems with RC3.. :(
-
down to 1.2.6 then.. 1.2.6 lack only > 2gb & sec ident but is up-to-date and not worse than rcX or smth
