Hello all!
As I start amule I get:
amule: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
In fact, I just have:
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 16 Jun 2 23:29 libcurl.so.3 -> libcurl.so.3.0.0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 186376 Jun 2 18:59 libcurl.so.3.0.0
in /usr/lib
What now? Would it be enough if I just do a symlink libcurl.so.2-->libcurl.so.3.0.0 ?
Thank you all!

debian right ?

ok i downgrade libcurl to testing version and now amule works fine :) if someone has debian unstable don't upgrade liburl2 to version 7.12.0-1 ... it's bugged and doesn't work with amule

and i fyou did
just donwload the tar.gz and reinstall the one from the webside ;)
simple ./configure, make and then make install

Mhhh.... I did as I suggested (to myself) before: I symlinked the version 3 file and it seems to work.
What do you think?

i'm not for symlinks .. but if it works ..

Yep, worked for me too. I just migrated from Debian to Mandrake for I got tired of having to "hack" my system all the time (for serveral years actually - it's a disease, I know). Many things are confusing to me here and many things don't work also. But when I spent about an hour trying to find the libraries needed for aMule, I finally did the symlink trick and used mc to unpack the contents of aM rpm file to the directories they belong to. And it works.
Isn't it great when everything just works!?
