Title: is edonkey network dying ?
Post by: demiurg on June 04, 2004, 08:57:17 AM
I've seen this happen to Kazaa and others. Now it seems it's edonkey's turn.
Too bad we have a descent clinet on Linux only by the time it network is already half dead :)

hmmm

I would not say it is dieing....when I look at my user stats with all the clients in the network and comparte the numbers to the once I remember half a year ago....
I would say its proably 500k more users....
seams not dead to me ;)

also with the new Kad network user numbers will probably increase instead of decrease....

at least this is what I think ;)

That's right, but I'd bet that most of these users you see are actually overnet users

The reason I opened this thread is because I see significant decrease in download speed since the release and widespread of overnet. Upload works just fine, that to overnet compatibility but it does not really help me much :)

96,4% of my client stats are eMule, which I'm pretty sure that are not connecting to the overnet network.
