Title: How to disable inital hashing in aMule 2.0.0rc3 [Linux ver]...& lost of some settings
Post by: DaX on June 19, 2004, 04:08:31 PM
I want to disable initial hashing... each time i start aMule it recalculetes the hash ID of my shared files...(another ting: at the end i've noticed that it doesn't recognoze all my shared files but only a part of them why? especially the  streams video...such as DivX).

Another things this is a bug i've noticed that it lost some settings especially the upload limit ...
Why is there a solution for this problems...

The most important problem is the initial hascing ... in theese days is summer in italy and is  very hot ... help me to save my HD!!!!
Bye and TQ to all that answer my problems

Try removing some of your sharing... I had 2500+ shared files and this was happening for me too.
Remove your large shares (such as videos and programs) and stay with your small files. You will upload more things this way, and thus increase your credit...

Now with 1800 shares it runs just fine... crashes sometimes but not frequently :P

Take a look at section "Why is aMule taking so much CPU resources at start-up?"  in http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_problems
