Title: aMule-2.0.0rc4 keeps disconnecting

I had aMule-2.0.0rc4 working for a day and now everytime I want to connect to a server it disconnects right after establishing the connection:

This happens with all lot of servers, not just Razorback.

what zlib version do u use ?

Hi there,

same thing happend to me. I rebootet my System, tried again, but same problem came up. After switching to some other servers i found some working. Perhaps it isn't really an aMule Problem. Time will tell more...

I'm using Fedora Core 2's standard zlib packages. rpm -qa |grep zlib gives

zlib-1.2.1.1-2.1
zlib-devel-1.2.1.1-2.1

I found out that I can only connect (and stay connected) to servers with version 16.46 lugdunum, but with 16.47.

i've got the same problem. my zlib version is 1.2.1.1-2.1. i installed it from the freshrpms package for fedora core 2.

maybe there is a problem with the packages of fedora 2. yesterday rc4 didn't start. the solution was that i had to uninstall the standard fedora wxBase and wxGTK packages and to install the packages from the amule site.

it works for some ppl and for some other not. i was thinking its a zlib related prob, but seems it isn't

Hi,

im using Mandrake Cooker (10.1) and the Server i am using to connect to is iFreeSex.net.
My previous Servers i used with AmuleCVS (1 Month old) were the Probenprinz servers, they dont work anymore ...

Maybe this helps....

Hi there,

i'm using SuSE Linux 9.0, aMule RC4 and zlib 1.1.4-225 and still have the same problem like mentioned above. I have the same symptons SirDodger posted. Seems that only a few servers won't get disconnected with RC4.

It's a bug on aMule's zlib that arised when lugdunum added some checks on the new eserver. aMule has been patched and rc4a and 1.2.8 are on it's way for releasing.

Same thing still happening with rc5... Razorback2 and probenprinz.de keep disconnecting, some other servers are fine.

Setup here: fresh SuSE 9.1 Pro and aMule rc5 downloaded today. Zlib is version 1.2.1-70.

Try aMule rc4a. aMule rc5 is having problems connecting to some lugdunum latest versions :-(
Will be fixed ASAP and be on rc6.

Okay, I will. Hope that uninstalling rc5 will not kill my settings...

Well, rc4a was still quite bad... back to 1.2.8 which is fine.

REMEMBER TO SAVE THE CREDITS AND USERHASH EHN SWITCHING FROM 2.x to 1.x and the other way round!!!!
Or you will loose _all_ your credits and have lower transfer rates :-(
