hello all, i have a computer with gentoo and amule 1.2.8 on it. Amule was a bitch to setup because no matter what i did crypto++ would error out because of running out of memory. I decided to try one more thing, i came to the site and got the version from the downloads section and installed myself without any problems lol. Anyway... my question is now, how can i add support to the links browser so that it cant handle ed2k links? is this even possible? And when 2.0 final comes out, will it require gtk2 or can i still compile with gtk1?

hey
for your ed2k links check here
http://www.amule.org/amule/ed2k.php
and with 2 final of course it will still be comaptible with gtk1, since gtk2 is still experimental under wxWindows
and our RC version are just because of Mac OS release canditates it has nothing to do with being unstable on linux ;)

Thanks, i thought it was still RC because of gui issues. Is 2.0 final going to have kad support? ive only seen it mentioned in the TODO list lol.
As for the links.. that page gives the outline of how they should be sent.. nothing else.. ive looked through the man pages and everything.. still drawing a blank... maybe i could learn to cut&paste the link into the quick links lol.

Those pages show how to configure your webbrowser to grab ed2k:// links and add them to aMule's transfer list.
About Kad support, it has been already started, but don't expect it for 2.0.0 final (all though, who knows? :P)
Greetings!
