Hi there!
I succesfully compiled aMule2rc5 with wxMac2.5.2. All went seamlessly following the instructions in the wikipedia.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't connect to any servers, when I try to update the servers list clicking the button on the left-hand side of the URL, it says in the log that this is not a valid URL.
I've seen in other threads that this was a pretty common issue with previous versions, any hint as to how to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Madsnail.
EDIT: I don't think this really is an issue with the URL because I tried another server.met link that works properly with other clients and it still says "invalid URL". I'm pretty sure it does nothing to verify whether the URL is good or not.

Hi,
I had the same problem, I just downloaded a server.met via browser and then copied it via "cp" in the terminal to the .aMule folder in the home directory.
Now it works...

Thanks for the answer m8.
That's funny because I downloaded a server.met off some site and copied it to the amule folder in the home directory, but using the finder and it didn't solve the issue. I'm gonna try using the terminal.

Alright, that did it. It's just I seem to have had a real outdated server.met file the first time.
Thanks.

Hi! :)
How to do it via Terminal? :| I can't even find my home .amule folder on the finder.. :|

a) folder is .aMule, not .amule
b) on terminal, do "cd ~/.aMule"
c) this issue, along with the 'cannot add server manually' and the 'start button on search dilaog is not enabled', is fixed on current CVS and will be fixed on rc6.
