Title: Can't ever download
Post by: ebola04 on July 25, 2004, 03:53:00 AM
Hi, I have been attempting to use the edonkey network with aMule (linux, 2.0.0rc5 and previous versions) but no matter how many users are supposed to have a file i can never download or i can download the first few MB's (really slowly), uploads of course work fine and while i believe uploading is essential to maintain a p2p network it really pisses me off that i can't DOWNLOAD anything, i will have 375 sources for a file and NOT ONE will upload to me, f* that. can anyone please help me so i can share my files/bandwidth with the edonkey network!!!!!!!!

cheers

1) Check if you have high id.
2) Make sure that your upload speed isn't set too high. That'll kill any downloads.
3) Try changing your ports. ISPs reducing the speed of the default edonkey ports seems to be getting quite common.
