Hi everyone...
I've been using thermoman precompiled packages for amule since 2.0.0rc3 in my debian sarge pc. It seems that, after completing my last system package upgrade, some of the packages from thermoman were updated. After that, I wasn't able of starting amule anymore.
When starting amule on the console, this was the output:
amule: relocation error: amule: symbol _7wxPanel.sm_eventTable, version WXGTK_2.4 not defined in file libwx_gtk-2.4.so.0 with link time reference
Then i realized libwxgtk2.4 was the cause of the problem. Thermoman's one is version 2.4.2.4, and sarge's one is 2.4.2.6. Reinstalling thermoman's one did the trick, and amule is working again.
But know i have some doubts:
1) Should i install unstable versions of every dependency of amule, thus avoiding the future system's updates to be able to update amule packages?
2) If 1) is not the solution, Should i wait for a thermoman's packages upgrade?
Thanks for any clue you can give me :)
PD: I posted two days ago the same thread at spanish forum (yes, you've noticed i'm not a native-english speaker :P), but there's no answer yet...

Well, I always use SID, so you'll ahve to wait for thermoman to reply to this ;)
Anyway, I'll notice him if I see him.

Forum is back!!!
Thanks for your answer, kry. Just another question (this time to you, not to thermoman): when you say you use sid, you mean "sid amule packages" or "debian sid"?
If you mean the first option, it would be a "yes" two my cuestion on my last post. :]

hey
I use SID aswell, so you can insatll amule packages with all dependencies and no problem at all ;)
or check wiki.amule.org with the "howto" for debian and there is also the link for theroman packages
