I'm using aMule 1.2.8 with Fedora Core 2 and a HD with almost 5GB free space. I can see at my trafic window about 15 files with 100% downloaded, but it never gets finalized status. There are in finalizing state until an error message is shown. It says that there isn't free disc space to write the completed file. This is obviously noy true, because there are al least 5GB free, and this user has no active quotes.
Is it a bug?, Some one would confirm me that I'm not going to loose that 15 files I hardly got!!!!!
See you soon,

hmmm
well never seen anything like that...are the files paused? that is what amule would do if the disk space is full....
and if you would upgrad to the new rc5 you would not loos your downloads...so no problem with that
maybe try that first..pretty easy you just need aditional crypto++ rpm thats all...and its really stable on linux just RC because of MAcOS

That very sameproblem happens sometimes with emule. Restarting it fixes the problem, as the files are hashed inmediately after restarting, and found complete.

As both you ask, the files soesn't look paused, they are just finalizing for hours, until that message error is shown. On the oyher hand, I have tried to restart many times amule, including the PC, but it doesn't solve the problem.
Any other idea?

You can try a met recover program, like MetFileRegenerator (http://www.bigwillystyle42.com/index.php?dest=mfr) (never tried it, only used Donkey Doctor, but its windows only).
Remember to backup first, and put here the result of your experience.

Er... IIRC, there was a bug on 1.x series that prevented part files for being closed and they took HDD space when trying to complete so no space was available even when kernel shows it?
Or did I dream that?
Can you try the rc5?

Maybe the Incomng directory has no write permissions, check that first ;-)
Greetings!
