Hello there,
Some days ago i made a big update of my system ( debian woody ) and then, no way to launch amule. Here is the error message i have :
arriok@firewall:~$ amule
amule: relocation error: amule: symbol _7wxPanel.sm_eventTable, version WXGTK_2.4 not defined in file libwx_gtk-2.4.so.0 with link time reference
For info :
I have the 2.0.0rc5 thermoman version of amule.
I have the 2.4 version of wxgtk libs running.
I have to admit i don't really understand the meaning of this error message, so it s very hard for me to find a way to solve my trouble. Any idea to help me ?
thx by advance !

Hi arriok!
The same happened to me some time ago, and the only difference with you is that i was (am) using debian sarge. You have the link here:
Problem with wxgtk 2.4 (http://www.amule.org/amule/thread.php?threadid=3393&sid=)
I don't have a "total" solution (except for trying to compile aMule myself, which is what i'm doing), but you can use a "partial" solution mentioned in that link.
Tell us if it works!

hm, thermoman also has wx debs, so try installing them and reinstalling thermoman's aMule right after. let's see....

Hi, Jacobo
Yes, basicallly reinstalling just that file did the trick for me (libwxgtk2.4-2.4-thermoman), i guess it will work too on a woody machine. And, if you remember, that was the problem i also was talking about in spanish forum. It was very strange to me that nobody had the same problem.... well, now i know there's one at least ;)

heh ;-)
Ye, I remember now. Well, it's nice to know you're not alone in this world, isn't it? :-P
The thing is that there are very few people using woody, most people use Sid, at most Sarge (Sarge here, btw).
Well, have anice aMule experience!
Greetings
