Title: How to install in Windows?
Post by: eQualizer on October 05, 2004, 02:55:52 PM
Found a installation instructions in wiki (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/HowTo_compile_on_Win32), but that doesn't help too much.
My problem is, I have no idea how to install Curl or wxWidgets.

Could someone write a little more newbie-friendly help for compiling aMule for Windows?

Hi,

Windows compilation is not for newbies :) Because u need a lot of hacks and it is far less automated than under Linux :)

And, anyway, if u get it compile, it won't run fine :) (for now )

So, only plan to build it under windows for testing purpose or/and to help develop this win32 version, not to use it instead of eMule.

aMule is wonderfull under Linux, so better to trash windows and get Linux. The principal problem with aMule under windows, is windows itself :D
