Title: Install problems

I'm pretty new to Linux and aMule, so I've been following the instructions at http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Compilation_Installation#Installing_using_RPMs with a few different versions, but I get errors when trying to install the amule rpm.

I'm running Mandrakelinux 10.1 Community if that helps any.  Thanks a lot for the help!

Hello,

rpm for amule-1.2.8 is for mandrake version 9.2 or 10.0. It will not work under 10.1. Pliz use rc6 rpm instead  :)

10.1 use gcc-3.4.1 and 1.2.8 will not compile with it.

For installing rc6, install the correct couple amule+wx as shown on "amule news" thread about rc6

libwxgtk-gtk2u_2.5_3-2.5.3-2mdk-10.1.i586.rpm
aMule-2.0.0rc6-4mdk-10.1.i586.rpm

in this order, and desinstall before all wx and amule packages previously installed
