Working on translation...
85% done (stop at TextClient...)
Please Wait 8)

Thanks for the on-going work :=)
Just few IMPORTANT notes:
1- In your .po file there are a few errors, please fix them. they are:
a) delete line 415 and change, in line 416 "msgid" for "msgstr".
b) in line 4629 you changed "%i" for "%s". "%i" is the correct one, please change it.
c) same as b) in line 4661
2- Please, whenever you post a translation, start a new post, do not edit ;) otherwise we don't notice a post has been posted because the forums only report about new posts ;) it's been pure casuality that I've come across and noticed your edit.
Now, once all that is fixed:
jacobo@Soofa:~/aMule/amule-dev-cvs/po$ make pt_BR.gmo
rm -f pt_BR.gmo && /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o pt_BR.gmo pt_BR.po
1155 translated messages, 199 untranslated messages.
:) just 199 lines left! Cooooollycool! hehe

Hi!
Updated po file.
Thanks a lot!
-
Thank you, I've updated the translation.
-
Someone posted a bug-rep. for the brazilian translation: http://bugs.amule.org/view.php?id=1257
Don't know if it still applies though.
-
My Portuguese is rather bad, but I can confirm this and will fix this. (resumir = summarize)
-
Thanks. :)
-
OK, the Brazilian Portuguese translation is correctly using continuar.
The Portuguese Portuguese translation however translates resume as resumir. I'll change that.
-
Confirmed. The correct translation for "resume" is "continuar", which is more like "continue".
-
Ok.
I've check the po file for any "visible" mispellings. I hope that is Ok for now.
See attached file.
PS.: Plural Forms activated :)
fabio@lisa:~/.aMule$ /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o pt_BR.gmo pt_BR.po
1517 mensagens traduzidas.
-
Thanks a lot, I've committed the update!

New update!
fabio@lisa:~/.aMule$ /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o pt_BR.gmo pt_BR.po
1518 mensagens traduzidas.

Thanks, updated.
btw: You're very fast...if everyone was as fast as you, I'd have to commit more than 30 translations every time we make a change...fortunately this is not the case...*puh*

Nowadays, I've some free time ;D

You were faster than me to translate this and I was the one who added the new word in the first place. :D In the future, I won't have to bother checking the translation status myself, as soon as there's a pt_BR update, there have been some new strings. ;)
Ótimo! (Is this the right Brazilian spelling? In Portugal they say óptimo...)
Oh, and a little remark to save you some typing: You don't need the "-o pt_BR.gmo"-argument in the msgfmt-command. If you're only checking for errors, then "msgfmt -c pt_BR.po" is enough, but of course it's more interesting with "--statistics", too. :)

Yes, "ótimo" is the correct spelling. (Há algumas diferenças entre o português do Brasil e o de Portugal, mas nada que não seja possível de se entender :D - Entendeu?)

Ok! Nice trick! Thanks for information.
-
That was a nice april fools. :P I was already starting my translation tools until I realized that there are no new strings this time. ;)
OK, first I have to make a confession: The lazy (less typing) way of testing the translations has one disadvantages. How I recently found out, it will create a messages.po file in the current directory.
Sim, sim, entendi tudo sem problema. Não os entendo aos Portugueses quando falam, pronuncio muito mal e falo uma misturo do Português e do Espanhol. Mas pelo menos sei bastante bom entender textos. ;)

:o I've forget it. Damn! ;D

Hmmm... I don't like it. I prefer translate in gvim.
/msgstr "" rocks ;D

No Brasil também temos esse tipo de problema. Alguns falam muito rápido e com gírias, o que dificulta ainda mais o entendimento.
E, como aqui no estado fazemos fronteira com o Uruguai e com a Argentina, o "portunhol" não é de difícil compreensão.
Boa noite!

Updated translation!

Committed the update! Thanks.

Updated and Revised translation!
-
Reliable like a clockwork. Only you've forgot daylight savings time, the French and Italian translations beat you this time to be the first complete translation. ;) But you were faster than the current German translator, because he always relys on pt_BR updated to know when it's time for an Update...;)
Thanks!
P.S. Enfim tinho uma profesora de Português. :)

Hmmm... Updated again! And I don't need to "compete" with others translators, only with others brazilian translators ::)

Você TINHA uma PROFESSORA, ou agora você TEM um PROFESSOR de Português? ;D
-

This explains why you're late this time. :P Next time I'll ask o senhor Peixe-do-Babel to do timely translations for me. ;) (Just kidding - thanks a lot for your translation!)
Você TINHA uma PROFESSORA, ou agora você TEM um PROFESSOR de Português?
TENHO uma PROFESSORA de Português. Quero estudar pt_PT i é difícil encontrar alguem quem fala pt_PT onde vivo eu. Há muitos Italianos e Espanholes, mas só 4+1 Portugueses. Com os Brasileiros sempre falo um Portunhol ruim...
-
Errr... The "Peixe de Babel" translate, but the final result is very '"strange" (read: dirty and ugly) :D
I need to restart my English course, but I hate "American English" courses. There's only one that use "British English" in our city, but is in a public school that apply a "qualification test".
pt_BR: Que bom que estás estudando Português. Não é o idioma mais fácil do mundo, e mesmo aqui dentro do País temos uma enorme diversidade. Termos e expressões em "Portunhol" que usamos aqui no Estado não são compreendidos por quem só fala português, mas muito compreensível por quem fala espanhol. Bom estudo!
