Title: [aMule-2.0.0rc7]Wont Upgrade
Post by: UoVoBW on October 21, 2004, 01:12:58 AM
Hi there.

I had aMule rc6, everithing was working fine, when i had the stupid idea of upgrading to rc7, using my fc1's rpm.
The upgrade went fine, but now all i get is crash after crash: i get a one-second shot of the main window and then it crashes.

 ;(

I really don't know what to do: i tried also removing everything: aMule, wxGTK wxGTK-devel wxBase (all via package) and reinstalling the whole stuff following the howto. no-way.

The first time i did it it worked, i could get it up and running, but then when i simply closed it cause i needed band it exited ok, but then at restarting crashed again.

I must also admit that every upgrade from rcN to rcN+1 was a real pain: i hat to remove everything and then follow the howto again to install the new rc...

I must keep this Fedora Core 1 cause others have 2.6 kernels that won't support my USB Alcatel Speedtouch modem, and I can't get debian installed because again of the modem

I think i'll quit using aMule and file sharing for a while, at least until the situation stabilizes.

Thank you

Bye
