Title: eating resources
Post by: caspartroy on October 21, 2004, 03:19:02 PM
amule "eats" (depending on number of shared files) 10-20% resources on my system (linux on xp2800 1gb ram)
1.is that normal?
2. is there a way to reduce system load?
3. if not, is it possible to optimize performance in future releases?
the "nice -n19" thing doesn't help too much

so long, caspar

huh -n19 ???

the cpu is "normal" under wxGTK 2.4.2, its pretty easy to reduce if you install wxGTK 2.5.3 and recompile amule again...
then CPU load is around 7-12% herer and I have a xp2000..so yours should be lower aswell

so system load commes from wxGTK and not amule itself....
