Post by: livebrain on October 26, 2004, 04:56:42 PM
manually added ip and port - 81.84.84.103:4661 :

10/26/2004 03:48:15 PM: Connection established on: etc
10/26/2004 03:48:15 PM: New clientid is 1335760597

added sado.kicks-ass.net:4661 :

10/26/2004 03:50:10 PM: Connecting to Max[PT] Sado (sado.kicks-ass.net - 81.84.84.103:4661)
10/26/2004 03:50:35 PM: Connection attempt to Max[PT] Sado (81.84.84.103:4661) timed out.

telnet sado.kicks-ass.net 4661
Trying 81.84.96.18...
Connected to sado.kicks-ass.net.
Escape character is '^'.

!!this server (i think) only accepts portuguese ip's!!

the same day one user tried 1.2.8 and connected with no problems (as he said)

currently i'm using cvs , but this also happens in rc7

maybe u could try connecting to a dns server (not that server... because it only accept portuguese ip's) to figure out if the problem is mine, the servers or amule

It's not the IP address what the server looks to accept connection. It's some tag in the nickname of the client. Try adding something like [PT] to your nickname if you really want to connect to that server. Although, I see no reason for you to want to connect to a specific server.

Regards.

You don't get the point. They can connect with other versions ;) They already have PT tags, and anyway they need to connetct thre because they're from PortugaƱ and they have limits for international traffic.

Also the servers dont need any tag (the blocking is done with the firewall)
