One feature I miss after migrating from xMule is an option to try to download the start of a file before any other chunks. This is really useful because it means you can preview films etc much earlier in the download. Sometimes I haven't been able to preview until a download is almost complete. I still prefer aMule to xMule overall though, because for some reason it seems to connect much quicker and be more effective at finding sources.

I can't understand how you can miss a feature that is implemented and on preferences :)

and u'll find it under "files -> try to download first and last chunks first"

Oops! Part of my defence is I've been using it on a TV lately. I'll have to start using the client-server mode. Is it possible to get a copy that's running in X to close down the X side of things but carry on running in the background so I can connect a client to it from my other PC or will I have to restart it?

I know there's an app to do that, but I'm sorry I can't remember right now. Not sure if you should restart the app anyway :-/ Check in the FAQ under the "Can i use aMule as a deaemon" (or somehitng like that) section. I remember that app was mentioned there.
Greetings!

Check in the FAQ under the "Can i use aMule as a deaemon" (or somehitng like that) section
Maybe we should add such section to FAQ ?
