when I start amule, it tell me "Can't open file '/.hotfiles.btree'" and it cannot connect any site.
what can I do about that?

We have occasionally seen the error about "/.hotfiles.btree" before. I have very little info on it, but have an inkling that it might be the result of non-ASCII characters in file or directory names.
First of all, the file resides at the root of your hard drive ("/") and aMule doesn't normally have any reason to be looking there. So, make sure you have properly configured your Incoming and shared directories (and maybe your Temp directory, too).
If none of those settings are configured to point at root, the problem may be that there is a "strange" character in either one of those directory names or in one of the files being shared from those directories. The theory is that the process which reads through the files you are trying to share hits one of those strange characters, hiccups, gets off track, and then starts reading from the root directory.
If my theory is right and helps you to track down what causes the "/.hotfiles.btree" error, please let us know what you found.
I don't know if this error is what is preventing you from connecting to servers. That might be a corrupt server.met, bad network configuration, interference from your ISP, or some other bug.

I have the same error about "/.hotfiles.btree" too, but it has nothing to do with connections and can be ignored. I think too, that is has something to do with my german os x and special chars like ü, ö etc.
For example I have a zero sized file in / called "Benutzerhandbu??cher und Informationen" where ?? is actually a ü. Don't know, what the meaning of this file is, but it has been put there by OS X, so I suspect it to be some kind of Translation of something :-). It means "Usermanuals and information".
Anyway, it has nothingto do with connection-problems.
