because we do not develop mozex nor ever talked to any mozex dev.
also, because the use of mozex is unnecessary in any modern browser since they all support natively any protocol you want to implement.
even more, because mozex's capabilities are very limitted since it only supports five protocol (iirc) so it was only a quick hack for those browsers which temporarily removed the multi-protocol handling.
and the most important, because if aMule ppl was supposed yto give mozex support, appart fromhaving to learn mozilla extensions' code and the mozex code, also gtk support, wx support, curl support, gcc supportc, C++ support, libcrypto suppport, crypto++ support, mplayer support and who knows what more.
I think the support aMule Team gives in this forums are far much more than what you'd recieve in any other forum in the whole net. And I really mean FAR MUCH MORE. Not only VERY FAST support, but also VERY GOOD AND DEEP support.
Now, there is sometimes ppl to who you borrow the hand and they want the whole arm...
I hope someone comes algon to help you. but the place to ask about mozex problems are mozex forums and mozex maillist.
That's enough for me (is this the fourth thread you open about mozex?).
Greetings.

Mozex doesn't work to me.
But, read this:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Ed2k_links_handling
Since read this, my ed2k links are "candies"
(in pt_BR: Depois de ler isso, ficou "barbadinha")

ok but it's not so simple once you installed mezex: you cannot overcome it... even if you act like described there, you're not able to handle ed2k links...
the problem is that mozex is not removable with firefoz 1.0!!
if i remove Firefox, will his extensions remain?! or once installed again i'll have to re-install all the extensions?
thanks

You must be joking.

If you uninstalling AND removing ~/.firefox all extensions gone.
Will some update that wiki page and remove references to mozex ?
-
sorry but... how could i remove mozex without uninstalling FF AND removin ~/.firefox?
or you meant that way as a possible solution? (it could take from the 5 and 7 minutes to act like that... but i'm thirst of knowledge... and i want to know if is there an alternative possibility...)
thanks!

Tools -> Extensions -> Remove

the problem is that in that window... does not appear neither the name of mozex!
ok i'll destroy, erase and remove FF and all his settings & extensions... :D
-
lfroen, we got many reports about that mozex isn't removable.. plz check it next time ;)
-
ok it seems that mozex isn't removeable....
Is ist really the only way to unsinstall/reinstall Firefox to kill mozex? So I will do it. But I think there must be another way ?(
Someone should go on and remove that mozex-trash from the FAQ-Page.... ;)
