Title: stability problems with amuleweb
Post by: boutros on January 07, 2005, 09:26:34 PM
No end of problems with amuleweb segfaulting every 10 minutes

Code: [Select]
Web Server: Started
aMuleweb$
WSThread: Thread started
WSThread: created service
WSThread: created socket listening on :4711
Segmentation fault

From my memory usage graphs, I would imagine that amuleweb spikes in memory usage hugely, and the kernel kills the process when it runs the machine out of memory and swap.

I wonder if there was any fix? I'm using wxGTK-2.5.3 which iis probably not stable.  Yes, I've removed and recopied my tmpl file and the webserver directory.

Also it looks like there's a huge memory leak in amule itself. I'll recompile wxGTK to use GTK1 instead of GTK2. (sigh)

Well the recompile with gtk1 helped amule's memory usage, but amuleweb still segfaults. I think I'll have to write an auto-restart script, and ulimit amuleweb to only use a small but of memory

I have to feedback from this with some thanks. after some hours runtime, everything with aMule-cvs-20050110.tar.bz2 seems rock solid. Even new A4AF information in the webinterface!

No segfaults! And the graphs work in the w/i too!

Dammit! That's not left me with anything to complain about.  :baby:

Doesn't crash when you load another page before it finishes loading the current one in the browser? that was the most annoying bug for me...

Regards.

No, but if you move files out of Incoming and then Reload in the webinterface, you get a lovely crash......
