Hi,
I've installed amule 2.0.0rc8 and I run it as a deamon (amuled).
When I try to search files in Web Control Panel I get strange characters (see the attachement), not file names, sizes etc. How can I solve that problem?
[Kry: Sorry - I had to delete the screenshot because it showed copyrighted material. Please repost with non-copyrighted results or well, lfroen and I already saw it so it's ok]

Do you have localized charachters in filenames in result set ? Did you compiled it as unicode ?
Did you tried CVS snapshot ?
Anyway, tell me what was your search parameters (search terms, local/global etc) so I will be able to reproduce your problem.

I didn't use any localized charakters in search string. It doesn't matter what you set in search parametres. Any time result is the same - strange characters.
I use Mandrake 10.0, and I've installed aMule from:
aMule-2.0.0rc8-4mdk.src.rpm
and wxGTK-2.5.3-4mdk.src.rpm
I start amuled and then amuleweb using PutTTy from computer in my local network. Then I start web browser. When I try to search files in web control panel I get these strange charakters.
When I start aMule on my server, everything is ok., I can search and download files without any problems.

First of all - try to use cvs tarball. amuleweb has a lot of fixes after rc8. Compile it with --enable-amule-daemon so amuled will be compiled.

Kiciu, does the cvs tarball solve your problem ? (I have the same problem... amuleweb is on Mandrake, and I use firefox, in OSX to manage amule, and the search function is unreadable....)
Anybody have another solution ? I don't want re-compile all amule... however, if is it THE solution....!

I don't want re-compile all amule...
sometimes you must! ;)
